It is with deep gratitude and great excitement that I step into the role of Executive Director of JoshProvides Epilepsy Assistance Foundation. I am honored to lead an organization with such a powerful mission: to improve the quality of life for people with and affected by epilepsy and other seizure disorders.

JoshProvides was founded out of love, loss, and a determination to make a difference. From the moment I began my work with JoshProvides as the Client Care Manager, I was so impressed and inspired by the people who make JoshProvides such a strong organization. Sandi Chapnick is the heart of the organization. She and her late husband Bruce took the tragedy of losing their son Josh and made it into a legacy that has helped countless individuals and families.

CEO Andria Bilan’s incredible dedication and passion, along with the wisdom and kindness of the board, have inspired me to lead JoshProvides and to continue its mission into the future. I thank them from the bottom of my heart for their support and encouragement.

And then there’s the community we serve – Purple Warriors – those individuals and families for whom epilepsy is a daily struggle. Their courage and resilience are unmatched; the way they step up for each other is nothing short of miraculous. This is not just an organization—it’s a lifeline for people who too often feel unseen or unheard.

When we talk of “quality of life,” we mean how people live daily. A person affected by epilepsy may have days filled with anxiety. Worrying about when the next seizure will occur, wondering how to get transportation to the doctor and paying for costly tests, keeping a child safe while sleeping – these are all daily concerns. JoshProvides eases these worries by awarding grants for seizure detection devices, transportation and diagnostic testing. We bring people together so they feel supported and understood, connecting them with help and each other, by offering support groups and opportunities to get together.

My vision as Executive Director is to build on this strong foundation while exploring new ways to expand our reach, deepen our partnerships, and amplify the voices of those affected by epilepsy. I am especially excited to connect with our supporters, volunteers, and community members—because this work cannot happen without you.

Thank you for welcoming me so warmly. I look forward to the road ahead and to all that we will accomplish together.
