2016 Giving Challenge Story

Flashback to 12:00 noon on September 20, 2016

for the kickoff of the 2016 Giving Challenge

JoshProvides Epilepsy Assistance Foundation staff and board got busy emailing friends, family, clients and business associates asking for their support with an online donation to the 2016 Giving Challenge. Social media posts through Facebook, Twitter and a flurry of Eblast messages through Constant Contact helped to tell the JoshProvides story… how JoshProvides improves the quality of life for individuals living with epilepsy and other seizure disorders! In 2015, a total of 48 donors contributed $4,116.44 to JoshProvides during the Giving Challenge. In 2016, the JoshProvides goal for the Giving Challenge was to raise $10,000.

The 2016 Giving Challenge Campaign theme for JoshProvides was SHINE THE LIGHT and BE THE ONE and featured Kinsley, a 3 year-old legally blind girl who has a severe form of epilepsy and turned to JoshProvides for assistance in securing a seizure response dog.

When the 2016 Giving Challenge came to an end at 12:01 p.m. on September 21st a total of 86 donors helped SHINE THE LIGHT and

to support JoshProvides so the agency could help Kinsley secure her seizure response dog by donating $7,900. And thanks to the matching funds from The Patterson Foundation and a $100 Twitter bonus, JoshProvides received a total of $10,200 from the 2016 Giving Challenge.

Thank you to the 86 donors that WERE THE ONE to help JoshProvides meet its 2016 Giving Challenge Goal!
